ah one last thing I remembered: we've had some very positive and productive conversations with developers of the app Postman who want to help fill in any remaining gaps in the Portal APIs and GNOME implementation of them to ensure their app (and others like it) can interface with the desktop in all the ways they would hope—again, while not having the API directly dictate the UI.
