I switched from Manjaro KDE (Arch based) to Kubuntu recently. In general, pretty happy with it. But the versions of packages lagging so far behind is painful sometimes.
vim / neovim is the one that always gets me.
Latest Ubuntu 23.10 has version 0.7.2-7 of neovim. The latest stable version is 0.9.4. Several plugins I use won't even work on such an old version.
I was able go grab a newer one, but it would be great if those things were just more up to date.
