I think part of the reason why the gender stuff really took off is that... there is no etiquette anymore.
You know, there used to be rules on how to act and what to do in certain social situations lol. Like, when you enter the door, first let everyone walking out to walk out, and only then move forward. Don't put your elbows on the table etc etc.
But it's kinda not a thing anymore, is it?
