At my garage, having them check the new car. Provisional reaction having lifted it up for a look underneath (which the internet tells me is the risky part): “Very tidy, very nice, it’s been looked after.”
And a mechanic from a different place just stuck his head around the door to ask if they had anything a client could buy for a few hundred to use as a runabout for six months. They didn’t, so I followed them out and sidled over to ask if he wanted my old car: he’ll have a look at the records on it and give me a call.
