I think changes in the money supply do affect behavior of people who live on that money. That said, we are mostly speculating on aggregate affects. Each person is still an individual.

As for the aggregate affects, no country uses hard money. If they did, differences could come from other cultural affects. When they did was so long ago that time changed the culture. Even differences between bitcoin people and fiat people could be cart before horse. Maybe bitcoin made them like that, maybe only people like that would get into bitcoin in the first place.
