This isn't true, Boomers can list off an impressive catalog of shit for the last 30 years they're still mad about. Boomers remember minor scandals from the Clinton administration like him smoking weed on Air Force One, let alone Whitewater. The memory hole isn't that people forget, it's that they recognize there's no institutional accountability because the media largely determines when and who gets punished and people eventually stop bitching about it in public because nothing will ever happen and they don't know what to do.
