Governments' misuse or misunderstanding of the word "wallet" when referring to bitcoin truly demonstrates the incompetence of lawmakers. They would rush new regulations without regard to the impact a poorly worded law might have. I know that many might lean on "spirit of the law", but in this case I can't begin to imagine the scope of "spirit of the law". Would they really make it a crime to store a list of secrets? Perhaps, but only when it's gift wrapped in fancy wording.
