I'm increasingly convinced that coping with change is the ultimate life skill.
The threat of change is omnipresent, but change itself is uneven and hard to predict. We can sometimes go years with relative stability only to be blindsided by some upheaval or shock.
One's ability to weather these shifts, whether sudden or gradual, is essential to extracting whatever happiness can be from our situation.
But do not mistake coping with change for indifference to it. Some changes should be opposed.
