The Roadkill project sent professionally trained observers to make frequent observations in areas with high levels of reported roadkills by citizen scientists.
In the "high incidence route" (meaning frequently reported), an average of 2 roadkills were observed per night.
On the "low incidence route", 4 roadkills were observed per monitoring trip.
Shows the need for including population density information in analyzing #CitizenScience data.
