I was serious about letting the weeds in the onions/garlic get out of hand (I mean, it's mostly grass around it, but it's been very rainy and it just kinda took off)
The onions are doing fine though! Some of my onions that survived from last year's poor growth (not pictured) are also still alive and flowering!

And since your weather/ growing area seems similar: Do you start onion seeds (for the next year) in the ground in the fall (when if so), or do you start them indoors in something and transfer them out in the spring, or something else?
