Thanks! I've played around with Station, but haven't checked out the other one, will have to do some exploration!
SSB is Secure Scuttlebutt, a p2p gossip protocol. It's one of the options that was considered when making Nostr. There's still a decent sized community using it, though there's only one actively maintained client at the moment.
