I am not saying you are wrong, I am saying you sound "hard".
About the stats I see no bug there.
It is perfectly possible that a minimum of your listener has archive mode enabled in Podcast Addict, specially if you previously have your feed limited to less episodes. When you published your new feed, with all your previous episodes, they download them. In some case it downloaded all, some run out of space, some stopped it. With so many episodes with only less than 20 people with this problem you would see this peak in your stats.
But this is just my educated guess.
