malvertising has been a thing for decades and you can very much defend yourself with ad/content blocking (uBlock Origin & uMatrix) and disabling javascript. this also seems like a very inefficient way to use exploits. even if targeted advertising can be very precise they still probably gonna hit a large group of people which makes discovery and patching more likely. not to mention that the broad targeting makes a successful infection harder than attacking apples software mono culture.....then again most people are on windows 10/11 with a chrome/ium browser
