Processed food doesn’t cause obesity. That’s true. Increased calorie intake causes weight gain. But ultra-processed foods negatively impact at minimum our gut health. And poor gut health CAN cause excessive weight gain. It can also cause chronic pain and put our bodies is a constant state of agitation. Which is why everyone in America has to take 5 different pills everyday but still feel shitty.
