John Gabriel appears to very much be a crank. He worships the ancient Greeks and claims they are unparalleled, despite them not having calculus, neither were they able to trisect an angle. They also shunned neusis, with which the latter problem and doubling the cube could have been solved geometrically.
He also refuses to provide any evidence that his new calculus has any benefit beyond being easier for a high school student to understand (until you need to unlearn it when you work with more than just polynomials and thus require limits).
His rationale is that Isaac Newton didn't really solve calculus because of not meeting an arbitrary "well-formed" Platonist philosophy in which a perfect circle with infinite points is somehow "well-formed" but a set of natural numbers with infinite elements is "ill-formed".
