I agree that we need more spaces like this but my biggest problem is that most of these spaces are only able to benefit writers from US and Europe because of the preferred payment infrastructures. For example, as someone from Turkey, only place I can be paid by my readers is Patreon. I’d like to support Medium more (I’m already a member) but it’s hard for me when neither me nor people from where I live can also benefit from what you’re doing.
