Yesterday I was discussing with my wife why I've started to no longer care about the "price" of #Bitcoin
To her credit, she's been gradually doing her best to understand Bitcoin more and more over the years and it makes me happy to see her genuinely have interest in it as well as placing some savings within it.
I expressed how the price of Bitcoin is whenever we want to exit or re-enter the fiat market. Otherwise, 1 BTC = 1 BTC. Anything else is simply the price when denominated in a specific currency.
I told her the value of Bitcoin could literally be worth $0 USD/AUD/CAD/[enter fiat here] and it wouldn't matter to me.
Before I could explain further, she interjected with, "because if someone wants Bitcoin they'll accept the Bitcoin". I got the biggest smile as I exclaimed, "Exactly!"
This alternative, sovereign, permissionless, transparent, and global V4V economy we're building with #Nostr at the helm will one day have people who don't care about the BTC/USD exchange rate. And I hope I'm still alive when it happens.
