sat/second parity was a thought experiment I framed a couple years ago when thinking about the aphorism Time is Money.
Juxtaposing two scarcities, time and bitcoin, it became obvious to start measuring seconds as sats when considering future opportunities that may only be possible for those with decent size stack(s).
Example, 50-100 years from now when space travel or even the opportunities to immigrate to Moon/Mars becomes available, what if space companies charge based on seconds of travel or even seconds of oxygen? Where seconds is payments in sats. And going on these missions you are paid less than sat/second parity to build the future (ie, sat/minute, sat/hour, etc).
Furthermore, if this is a possibility, which believe it is, don’t you think this is a great way to restrict space traveling builders (STB) to a limited/select few?
Probably should write down my complete thought experiment in an article or book format as this rabbit hole continuously gets deeper.
Either way, this is a parity I follow and one at which my kids/grandkids/etc will benefit from to prepare them for the inevitability of us being a multi planetary species. And that future may only be restricted to a few.
Chart below reflects the juxtaposition from one second to hundred years.
