machetes are nothing new in Spain. If you look up Andalusian news from 2-3 years ago you'll find that not only migrants use them. Gitanos and Spanish gangs use them too and at least in the south most households have hunting rifles. Good luck coming to my finca with a machete to face a shotgun.
