my criticism aside, if you happen to have a bunch of tax payer money sitting around that hasn't been used to buy bombs, pay down existing debt, or pay out for healthcare costs, by all means, buy the bitcoin so that those other obligations can't be fulfilled

buying bitcoin and hoping it outpaces debt growth is the dumbest idea.
