We all have our stories of loss during what I’ll generously refer to as the “COVID years.” My family battled through seemingly impenetrable bureaucracies and a period of separation during #LittleMan’s first six months of life; irreplaceable time stolen from us by faceless, unaccountable three-letters. Nothing about our story is unique. Many had it worse by orders of magnitude: families broken, businesses destroyed—the list goes on and on.
To say nothing of the global economic toll wrought at a scale we can hardly imagine and will pay for over generations.
What is common and unquestionable is that craven, power-hungry collectivists and “experts” brought this to each of our doorsteps. The likelihood that those most responsible will face the just consequences of their actions is comically low.
What remains is for each of us to decide what we will do and where we will draw the line when they try again. Because they always try again. For me, the line is clear and bright red.
