I mostly get my news from written articles, so the very rare occasions where I end up watching it on TV are absolutely a series of uncanny valley moments where I sit in absolute horror watching a bunch of overdressed weirdos with perfect teeth smile awkwardly while talking about natural disasters and horrifying war crimes while pretending that they just got this job 11 minutes ago and have no institutional memory of *any* history or current developments in our society older than lunch yesterday.
