Here’s an example (disregard the context, just first one I came across after mentioning it). I seem to see quite a few occurrences of this on Nostr (but I’m not on other social media so not saying it is or isn’t Nostr only). I assumed it was an image compression deal but it only seems to be twitter screenshots (though that could be sampling/availability bias) Any chance it’s done by Twitter for tracking purposes or possibly to prevent (or a result of?) manipulation? (I didn’t take the screenshot nor upload it)
