Yeah, I can see how that might rub people the wrong way. It's not perfect!
For me though, it's right at the intersection of solarpunk, cyberpunk and africanfuturism, and incorporates many themes I'd like to see more of in solarpunk (like traditional ways of life extrapolated into the future and the line between self-enhancement and ableism, among others)
