I see what you're saying but I don't think that is solely because of fiat. Some humans have been that way since the dawn of our existence. I DO, however, think that the fiat system/fractional reserve banking has certainly exacerbated that mentality, though. Probably a byproduct of the fact that everyone's in a perpetual state of debt when living under fiat.
