I am contemplating putting together a day hike in Eastern PA for nostriches and some of my other local acquaintances in September.
Why September? It's far enough away to figure out a location to meet, trail to hike (noting too challenging for socializing, but also something with a really good view), and then maybe a place to have dinner after.
Why eastern PA? It's gorgeous and accessible to NY, NJ, PA (obviously), DE, and maybe even more adventurous souls from CT, MD, or Virginia. (If any of you crazy cats want to fly in from elsewhere, that would be silly good fun.)
Why hiking? I love hiking. I love trees. I enjoy doing things outdoors and I think it opens up people to being more honest about themselves. I think it's a great way to meet people.
So, if any #nostriches in the Eastern PA area of the world want to start planning something like this, let's do it! If you know anyone in the area that would want to meet up, even if they don't want to hike, say just for a dinner hangout, please help connect us together!
