Supermarket group Ahold Delhaize plans to boost digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to grow underlying earnings per share and increase savings over the 2025-2028 period. The group aims for high-single-digit compound annual growth rate in underlying earnings per share compared to 2024. It expects 5 billion euros in cumulative savings by applying AI and automation in logistics, distribution, store operations, and back office. The group also intends to transition loyalty customers from physical cards to digital apps, targeting 30 million monthly active users by 2028.
