I know gaming is not my beat or whatever, but I can't stop thinking about what an obvious footgun this pricing model was. No matter how hard up for cash they were, couldn't someone have said to them, "Hey this plan is actually an elaborate brand self-destruct mechanism." Maybe someone they pay for relations? To the public?
