Wook-Kyung Choi. Trespassing in Macoui's Dream, 1976.
A #painting that delivers on it's title, leading the mind through a dreamy landscape of borrowed impressions but never settles.
This work changed hands recently at auction. As much as we may decry the "art market," online auctions are one way I get to see a lot of art which I would otherwise reasonably never see. For that I'm grateful.
I want to add that the artist here was a Korean woman, working largely in America, who also died young.
