Triceratops was one of the largest of the horned dinosaurs, measuring around 8 meters in length. Triceratops belonged to the Ceratopsia group and was a plant-eating dinosaur that probably roamed what is now North America in herds towards the end of the Cretaceous period - around 68 - 65 million years ago.
