The whole shaming people for blocking or not debating just anyone thing, which (unsurprisingly) often comes from folks who find themselves ignored/blocked a lot, is even more ridiculous if you think about it in IRL terms. Because if some stranger invades your personal space on the street and acts all weird, the logical thing is to disengage and establish some safe distance ASAP. But not giving attention to some rando with a googley-eyed potato avatar is somehow you failing some moral standard.
