my gums bleed because I chew tobacco and they are super sensitive so any flossing causes bleeding. Sucks, I should probably stop tobacco. The probably is i don't want to. I made a deal with myself when I was 18 that I would only do tobacco until it caused a negative health effect. About 3 years ago i noticed negative health effects but i don't want to quit.
