We never showed all notifications. We only show those that you are directly cited. So, you will always find more notifications in other clients.
Hum... drafts is not a heavy feature to make other things slow. What is the issue with profile pictures? Do you see the robot for a long time and then the picture shows up or does the picture never appear? We have to see if we can find something replicable to test and get to the bottom of this.
Also, I am sending a new release which is a quick fix for notifications of messages and some zaps that weren't being processed correctly. Other types of notifications: likes, replies, etc were not affected.
