the file manager in Xfce is telling me that a folder is empty when it isn't, it appears.
the 'find' command tells me the folder isn't empty. the GUI is being unreliable.
this is so typical of Linux. you can't trust the GUI. it's just there for show.
Linux doesn't take GUIs seriously. i would know. i've done hacker stuff before and if you're good with computers, you're not supposed to need a GUI.
i have higher expectations than that. i take GUIs seriously and routinely rely on them. so if they're broken, they failed at their job.
