The best value of Nostr as a social platform is that there is no usernames. You are a generated npub. Social platforms with usernames end up with you being ravaged by bad actors if you have a username desirable to others. Black markets for short usernames or word usernames are sickening. Especially bad when you realise people have genuinely gotten killed over things like this.
