If you're building, take time to promote & engage or find someone who is willing to do that for you. Apply for grants. Ask for donations. Put a price on it. There is no shame in that. You know what your time is worth, but be reasonable and patient. It's a small village.
Is there urgency in upping user numbers & retention? Probably. And legitimately. That's its own topic. But you can help by taking the time to educate those willing to learn, by engaging through conversation, by supporting content creators trying to make v4v work. If you're building, listen to feedback. Ask questions. You'll also gain financial support through this, and it will help build the part-of-something culture that keeps us all here now.
It takes a lot of balls or booze to call out things that seem shady or unjust. That can lead to better transparency or creative approaches to fixing a problem that might have not been seen as such. No one is right all the time, even if they're right most of the time. Question everything.
Not that anyone should care what I think, but I do a lot of it. Sometimes too much. 😅
