Starting next month, some major digital currencies, including Tether, will be banned from the European crypto market under new EU regulations. This development could significantly disrupt trading on European crypto exchanges
The new EU regulation, known as MiCA, sets strict capital and transparency requirements for stablecoins. USDT, which accounts for 70% of the $160 billion market value, does not meet these requirements and will therefore have to leave the European market . Several trading platforms have already halted trading in USDT, and others, such as Kraken, are considering doing the same.
