Regarding the arguments made in this thread, it seems like a bit of a mixed bag. I mean, I see Bitcoiners talking about how they'll destroy the centralized welfare state while at the same time pursuing institutional adoption. Yet when it comes to things like Monero building the tools you actually need create a hidden, parallel economy, people like Saifedean or Trader University brush it off, or treat the loss of darknet markets as not a big deal. I see the value in Bitcoin as a black hole into which everyone dumps their money. But when it comes to the topic of subverting the state or being a parallel currency that's actually used, it seems insufficient.
