Building on this #damus discussion from yesterday.
I no longer believe the cause to be new posts altering your feed position upon tapping Home. I tested it and found my position shifted even when no new notes had been made between tapping the post and returning Home. It also occurred when tapping an image, so it doesn’t appear to be specific to just viewing comments within notes*
To those who commented saying this has always been the case. You’re correct. It’s only now becoming apparent to me. I think earlier I had a blind spot for it and subconsciously accepted it as the quirk of a new app.
It isn’t a dealbreaker, but it is irritating. Not enough to make me leave Damus. Not even close. However, it would be an appreciated QoL improvement to see it addressed. Is there a dev we should be zapping to support such a change?
*Being unfamiliar with how Damus operates, if the app treats clicking a note’s image the same as tapping into the note itself the same then this statement is inaccurate.
I’m running into an issue with #damus when I tap a note to read replies and then tap home it often puts me elsewhere in my feed (not where I was when I tapped the note).
It feels like damus is holding the place where the note *was* when I tapped it. This is fine if no new notes hit my feed while I’m in that note. But if new notes hit my feed during that time, my place in the feed is off when I tap home.
Anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions available so when I exit a note I’m right back at that note and not its relative place in the feed when I first tapped it?
