Good morning ππ€ΈββοΈ
Lesson from #handstandpractice:
Don't let a rogue thought sabotage your goals. Find the positive, drop the ego, and keep moving forward.
This week I was frustrated that I did not make any progress in how long I could hold handstand. But after watching the video today, I realized that my form had improved (the right leg is finally aligned -yay!).
So now the glaring issue is building strength -- core and arms. I was hoping my balancing skills would compensate for my scrawny arms and soft belly, but that is not happening. π
So...the plan for the next several weeks is to be more mindful of form in my daily yoga practice..... core muscle activation in Chaturanga Dandasana and udiyana bhandas in my vinyasas.
I may incorporate some drills to my daily practice (Instagram followers keep DM'ing me with tips π ...... real time slow progress must be painful to watch... people want to see beautiful poses...not the tedious work that went into getting there).
May we all have the patience, humility and perseverance to crush our goals. π
