One of the broken things about late stage capitalism is that we’ve decided that the executive who says we need to make touch screen smartphones or self driving cars is more deserving of recognition and financial reward than the people who actually build these modern marvels of technology.
This applies to every industry not just tech. Tech is just the one that I happen to be in.
