I know time paradoxes are not part of the SA2 story but I would say me of a few years ago aligns with shadows figure and my current self more in line with sonic.
I have not reached the "Last Story" arc yet, where the "Hero" and "Dark" reveal themselves to be 2 perspectives of the same truth and the solution presents itself in overcoming the dichotomy. I feel like I have not come to fully understand the motivations and actions of "Shadow" me, progress in understanding my current and former self only comes in small steps.
And I am alone with this, the complexity of the interplay of autism, schizophrenia (the real deal, not the online shitposting genre) and gender identity disorder is way beyond what any professional could understand without exceptional effort and the ideologization and Big Pharma Agenda behind the former don't make it any easier.
What I reached so far is an understanding that I was misunderstood, isolated, resentful and that this is responsible for how the struggle to help myself and the people around me has often presented itself in the exact opposite.
There's still more "Living & Learning" to do but I'm optimistic and confident in the relative progress I made so far
