What you are talking about is paying the well-connected to preempt a court decision in writing and put their letterhead behind it in public.
Without serious political weight and connections wielded in public, advice on something that hasn't been tested in litigation is just speculation.
My git server is only accessible by Tor, and is not linked to my real name. Sadly, more people need to find ways to do this.
