As an afternoon of negative price electricity edges closer I have not failed to notice that there are perverse incentives. The more I use, the more I get paid and the lower my overall electricity bill becomes. There’s not much room in the EV battery but I COULD have gone on a pointless drive for a couple of hours this morning and made room to push in 20kWh from 1-4pm. I’ve not done that, of course, because it would be perverse and irresponsible. Likewise I’ve pondered inviting EV neighbours..
