Where does this statistic come from? Luxembourg is the richest country in the world, and they report 72.4% of the population as homeowners.
I get that prices on real estate are inflated because fiat is inflated and collapsing. But I don’t understand real estate in and of itself being a scam. I’m curious to know why people feel this way. I’m biased - I’ve worked in the real estate industry in various aspects for 20 years. It hasn’t been as good of an investment as had I purchased Bitcoin (hindsight is 20/20), but it has outpaced fiat inflation for me as an investment tool.
Real estate is a supply and demand market. Regardless if someone is using fiat or crypto to purchase, it’s an economic market. So I guess I’m confused why people here call it a scam. Genuinely curious.
