For the second time in nine months, the French government has fallen, as Prime Minister François Bayrou lost a no-confidence vote in the National Assembly today by a margin of 364–577. Bayrou has submitted his resignation to President Emmanuel Macron, who must now decide whether to appoint a third prime minister, call new parliamentary elections, or trigger a presidential election.
