In other words, your radicals are useful. They provide the energy for your movement. They are the organizers, the protesters, the agitators. They set the agenda. Because of them, the more centrist members of your movement are forced to inch in their directions, thereby moving the Overton Window.
This is why the left continually seems to get their way, why the culture and government always moves to the left. They either embrace, or at least silently tolerate their radicals, while the right always shuns and demonizes its radicals. The right does this in a futile effort to seem reasonable, but what they are really doing is robbing themselves of their energy and their strongest warriors.
By attacking their radicals, the right surrenders before the fight has ever been joined, insuring failure after failure, retreat after retreat. Only now, at this late date, are any of the tamest "right wing extremists" gaining any acceptance among the Republican right. The party establishment is fighting this tooth and nail, of course. Court eunuchs always fear a change in the power structure, because it means they will be out of power.
We know this change is needed and will work because of the rising panic it causes among the left. Even this tepid acceptance of the most mild of right wing "radicals" has them running scared. For the first time in nearly a century, there is the beginnings of a credible opposition to their bullshit.
You can only beat their radicals with radicals of your own. You can only beat enemies driven by a religious zeal with religious zeal of your own. Don't quote laws to people willing to use swords. Don't use appeals to sweet reason on people who embrace madness. Don't bother talking about prosperity and fairness to people who seek the destruction of their enemies and society.
