A year ago, Fabian (npub1n0s…lahe) went on Plebchain Radio (npub14kw…j7y0) asking for ideas on what to rename Nostur.

I suggested calling it “Yap.” I think it would be pretty funny if we could all Yak on Yap.

Yap!

Yap has an important meaning in bitcoin, as it’s recognized as the island where a storied type of money was used, Yap stones, which rarely moved, but ownership and value were agreed upon by tribal consensus.

And also, the verb “yap” means excited chatter, exactly what goes on here.
