According to Maar News, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told Iran’s president that he views Tehran’s nuclear program as peaceful and supports its right to continue it. He also expressed worry about the consequences of reinstating snapback sanctions. In reply, Iran’s president thanked Guterres for opposing Israel’s actions in Gaza and urged him to adopt a stronger stance against Israel.
