Police detained a man following an incident at Vice President JD Vance’s home in Ohio, where several windows were damaged. Vance was not at the residence at the time.

Authorities said William DeFoor, 26, has been charged after allegedly attempting to break into the home and using a hammer to smash windows.

One person has been taken into custody after several windows were broken early this morning at the Cincinnati, Ohio home of Vice President JD Vance.

According to the U.S. Secret Service, agents assigned to Vance’s protective detail detained a man on the property shortly after midnight Monday after the damage was discovered and turned him over to the Cincinnati Police Department. Vance and his family were not at the residence and were not in Ohio at the time of the incident.
